About

Thank you for visiting my website.

I am an experienced arts manager, consultant, mentor and a lecturer and researcher in Arts Management and Cultural Policy at Queen Margaret University. My practice includes supporting and collaborating with artists and arts organisations; facilitating creative and change processes; and strategy development.

Throughout my career I have held a variety of leadership roles in Scottish arts including, most recently, founder and director of Red Bridge Arts; Strategy Development Lead with Federation of Scottish Theatre; and previously in director roles with Scottish Dance Theatre, Macrobert arts centre and Imaginate.

I joined QMU in October 2021 in a part-time lectureship, teaching on the Arts Management and Cultural Policy MA, specialising in areas of Sustainability and Strategy; Business Planning; Finance; and Evaluation. My current research focuses on regenerative practice in the arts and fair work for creative freelancers. I am curious about how to inspire a more experimental culture in arts management. As well as teaching I am trained as a facilitator of Three Horizons Framework; Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process and Theory of Change.

I am co-chair of Dance Base, Scotland’s National Centre for Dance. I have held previous board positions with Magnetic North Theatre Company; Assitej UK; and the Tom McGrath Trust.

My consultancy work includes: Organisation and strategic development | Facilitating creative and strategic sessions| Evaluation | Sustainable and regenerative development | Coaching & mentoring | Research and resource gathering. I am people focussed – with an emphasis on wellbeing and fair work.
